Is the campsite child friendly/safe?

Yes, as long as common sense is used. Please be aware that the campsite is positioned near a series of lakes. There is plenty of open space on the campsite for children to play safely under the supervision of responsible parents.  Your children are your responsibility, not ours, so please keep an eye on them.

We want to book a pitch next to our friends, how do we do this?

When booking online via our website, please state your friends’ name(s) in the “Any Questions?’ box on our booking form. We will try our best to pitch you next to each other but please be aware that we cannot guarantee to do so.

Can I make a group booking?

We accept small groups of up to 4 units. Larger groups would be by prior arrangement. We do not take big group celebrations, Stag or Hen parties.

Can I book more than one pitch?

Yes, each pitch can be booked separately using our online website booking form.

What is your policy on noise?

Out of respect for all our guests, we do not allow loud noise, amplified music or noisy types at any time. We have a strict ‘no noise after 11pm’ policy.  If you want to stay up late partying then this is not the right campsite for you.

What time can we check-in and what time do we need to check-out?

Check-in is after 2pm and before 6pm unless by prior arrangement. You will not be able to check-in or pitch your tent before 2pm.
 Please check-out by 11am. Extra charges will be incurred for late departures.

Our booking at Batcombe Vale is within the next 14 days but the weather looks terrible can we move the dates?

Unfortunately moving your booking now would be classed as a cancellation with no refund given. We regret that the weather is not within our control and we cannot refund any money due to adverse weather conditions.

How do I find out about things to do and local events taking place during my stay?

Our reception carries extensive information about what to do and what is on in the area and our campsite wardens will also be able to assist.

What is your cancellation policy?

A cancellation up to four (4) weeks before arrival will incur a cancellation charge equivalent to the minimum booking period of two (2) days (three (3) days for Bank Holidays) (“Cancellation Charge”). A cancellation of between four (4) weeks and two (2) weeks of arrival will incur the Cancellation Charge and fifty percent (50%) of the balance of the booking payment. For any cancellation made within two (2) weeks of arrival no refunds will be given.
